Kenya Voluntary Women Rehabilitation Centre (KVOWRC) micro-lending system funds women after they have thoroughly gone through training on:-
- Moral behaviour change,
- HIV/AIDS
- Human Rights
- Reproduction health
- Nutrition
- Business management and entrepreneurship
- Home based care
- Memory book etc
The women acquire basis skill which helps them manage and run businesses of their own choices.
Micro lending has been very successful since many women have managed to exit sex work and start earning honourably from their small businesses.
Funds received from various partners has made an impact in many sex workers lives which has reduced vulnerability to HIV/AIDS, reducing risk of HIV infection and expanding choices to the sex workers.
